Wakeman Town Farm Sustainability Center in Westport will be hosting a virtual lecture with Franny Tacy, owner of Franny's Farmacy on August 3rd, 7pm. Franny is the first female hemp owner in North Carolina in over 75 years. She is an expert in everything help and is founder of the nonprofit, Women in Hemp. Franny hosted a Tedx talk on hemp and has degrees and experience in forestry and education. She also has a decae of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Franny will share her story on how she began growing hemp and got the nickname 'hippie in high heels.' She will also be discussing how to pick the right help product for you, the many uses of hemp and how these products have improved the quality of life for many people.
